Making Sure Your Devices Are Ready

There are three basic steps to take to make sure you are ready for testing.

STEP ONE: Preparing your Assessment Room

Before you begin testing, make sure your assessment room meets all requirements.

STEP TWO: Ensure the Testing App is on Every Device

The application used for testing is called Air Secure Test and is available from the iTunes app store.

• If your school received testing carts specifically for Smarter Balanced tests, you do not need to worry about this. The app is already installed. Learn about Your Testing Cart
• If you school is using existing devices for testing, then you need to install the app on each device. Learn More about Installing the App 

STEP THREE: Enabling "Testing Mode"

• If you school is using existing devices for testing, then you need to place them into what is called single app mode before testing. Learn More about Enabling Single App Mode
