    The April 2024 Connect with EASE is focused on valuable insights aimed at enhancing well-being and promoting proactive mental health care.

    Work and rest are often in constant competition, but they don’t have to be. In this interactive session, participants will explore work-life balance from a birds-eye view. In addition to building awareness, participants will create an action plan that leverages the power of deliberate rest to bring out their best at work. :

    During this session, participants will discover simple meditation practices to strengthen the muscles of the mind, and cultivate a mentally resilient mindset, no matter their current circumstances. Participants will also the power of connection to nurture and build resilience through a wide range of interactions in their personal and professional lives.

    Vaccine Guidance for Certificated Employees

    Effective September 26, 2023, the Los Angeles Unified Board of Education rescinded its COVID-19 vaccine mandate. This includes employees, contractors, vendors, volunteers, charter school employees and prospective employees, who are no longer required to be vaccinated against COVID-19.

    We will continue to examine and update our health and safety protocols to ensure the health of all students, employees and everyone in the school community. We strongly continue to encourage vaccinations for all employees, volunteers, contractors, families and students.

    Former Certificated Employees

    As a former certificated employee, you are eligible to reapply for an assignment with the District. You may be required to submit documentation, including, but not limited to the following: 

    • Fingerprint clearance
    • Proof of Tuberculosis (TB) and medical clearance.

    Are you an NBC Teacher? Become a Mentor!

    We continue to call upon many of our NBCTs to support new teachers by agreeing to serve as their mentors.  There is an active recruitment process as well as a mentor-training program underway.   Our next “Fundamentals of Mentoring Course” will begin in January.  Again, the goal is to assist our newly certified NBCTs to expand their understanding of key elements of support that our new hires need to succeed.
