Hiring Stipend and Equity Action Network (EAN) Professional Development
Los Angeles Unified is offering hiring stipends of $5,000 for newly hired credentialed teachers who elect to work in high needs schools (High or Highest on SENI Ranking) and commit to remaining at their school site for a minimum of three years.
Eligible new hires will also be invited to participate in the Equity Action Network: a 20-hour paid professional development series dedicated to establishing a community of equity-driven educators.

Are you an NBC Teacher? Become a Mentor!
We continue to call upon many of our NBCTs to support new teachers by agreeing to serve as their mentors. There is an active recruitment process as well as a mentor-training program underway. Our next “Fundamentals of Mentoring Course” will begin in January. Again, the goal is to assist our newly certified NBCTs to expand their understanding of key elements of support that our new hires need to succeed.
