The Assistant Principal of the Year (APOY) Program recognizes Assistant Principals who:
- Brings over five years of experience as an assistant principal
- Reinforces and supports an environment that respects and celebrates diversity, equity, and inclusion among staff and students
- Significant contributions to the well-being of the school community
Nominations for Assistant Principal of the Year will begin December 2, 2024 and will close January 10, 2025. Any LAUSD employee, parent, or student may submit a nomination.
Program Highlights
A district-wide recognition event is held to celebrate the Principal of the Year and Assistant Principal of the Year finalists in May 2025.
