Positions eligible for backfilling are available for consideration as follows:
- Internal Candidates – Current contracted teachers and counselors.
- External Candidates – Must be cleared through Human Resources prior to pursuing positions. Candidates who have not been cleared for employment by Human Resources are encouraged to apply online.
Los Angeles Unified is offering hiring stipends of up to $5,000 for teachers newly hired to LAUSD who have clear or preliminary credentials and commit to teaching at the same SENI High or Highest need school for a minimum of three years.
In addition to the stipend, teachers are eligible to take part each year in 20 hours of paid professional development called the Equity Action Network. The series is designed for new teachers working at SENI High and Highest need schools and is dedicated to creating a community of equity-driven educators. Postings include SENI rankings for SENI High and Highest need schools.
*Teachers hired before December 31, 2023 are eligible and will be paid after completion of the 2023-2024 school year.
