The District Summary Technical Guide provides an overview of key results of the College and Career Readiness Survey for the District and Regions only.
The College and Career category provides District, Region, and School level data on a variety of metrics related to preparing students for college and their career. The category includes content on: 1) work-based experiences, 2) career preparation, 3) college preparation, and 4) future college plans.
The College Deciding Factors category provides District, Region, and School level data on factors relating to student's decision to attend a college or university.
The College Going Culture category provides District, Region, and School level data on student perceptions of how school staff encourage and support students to attend college.
The College Preparation Knowledge category provides District, Region, and School level data on the experiences and knowledge students gained that helped them prepare for college.
The College Preparation Support category provides District, Region, and School level data on how often students met with school or college counselors to discuss college plans, as well as data on the additional types of support students wished they had in helping them prepare for college.
The CSU College Application category provides District, Region, and School level data on which California State Universities (CSU) students applied to (student self-reported).
The CSU and UC Admissions and Applications category provides District, Region, and School level data on the number of California State Universities (CSU) and University of California (UC) students applied and were admitted to (student self-reported).
The Financial Aid Completion and Award category provides District, Region, and School level data on the number of students (self-reported) who submitted a FAFSA or Dream Act, and the types of financial aid they were awarded.
The Financial Aid Knowledge category provides District, Region, and School level data on the types of financial aid application support students wish they received more of, and data on factors on why students did not submit a FAFSA or Dream Act Application.
The UC College Application category provides District, Region, and School level data on which University of California (UC) students applied to (student self-reported).
The College Major Intent category provides additional District and Region data on the types of majors students intent to pursue when they start college.
The Community College Intent category provides additional District and Region data on the local Community Colleges that students intent to enroll in.
The CSU College Admissions category provides additional District and Region data on the admissions rates for each of the 23 California State University campuses (student self-reported).
The Training Program Intent category provides additional District and Region data on the types of training programs and certificates students intent to pursue when they start college.
The UC College Admissions category provides additional District and Region data on the admissions rates for each of the 9 University of California campuses (student self-reported).
