Please note that there is no compensation available for any of these self-paced courses and they are not eligible for hours towards a salary point.

Self-Paced Schoology Basics - Elementary Elementary Educators 2 hours This course has a collection of resources that can help you take the first steps towards using easily accessible quality materials and basic Schoology features to keep connected and keep the learning going with your students. Getting Started with Schoology (Elementary) Elementary Educators 2 hours Getting Started with Schoology Courses provides an overview of Courses and Course Materials in addition to a snapshot of Groups and Resources. Participants will learn the skills and knowledge needed to begin using Schoology with students. Topics include navigating Clever, the Clever library and analytics. Self-Paced Schoology Features - A Deeper Dive K-12 Educators 2 hours Information on creating gradable items, monitoring student engagement, and distance learning best practices. Introduction to Schoology Assessments K-12 Educators 2 hours In this course, participants will gather the knowledge and skills to begin using the new Assessment material type. We will dive into creating and setting up Assessments using Standard Question Types, along with the grading and scheduling options available. Introduction to Gamification in Schoology K-12 Educators 2 hours Learning activities blend gamified instructional elements with the “Four C’s” - Critical Thinking, Collaboration, Communication, and Creativity to increase learner interest, motivation, and understanding. Participants will learn how to leverage Schoology tools to begin implementing gamified learning. Enhancing Instruction with Embeddable Content K-12 Educators 2 hours This course is intended for Advanced Schoology users. It is designed to empower instructors to harness the native power of Schoology alongside a wealth of external web-based tools. This course examines the concepts of embedding, linking, and using LTI tools within Schoology. Managing and Using Rubrics in Schoology K-12 Educators 1 hour This course provides an in-depth look at best practices for creating and using Schoology's three types of rubrics - Custom, Alignment, and Mixed. Participants will look at examples, begin creating a few of their own, and learn how grading Assignments and Discussions with Rubrics saves time while providing detailed feedback on student progress. Sharing and reusing Rubrics will also be addressed. Designing Dynamic Pages in Schoology K-12 Educators 2 hours In this course, participants will learn the power of Schoology Pages as places to engage students in dynamic learning opportunities. Explore different uses for Pages (choice boards, playlists, Bitmoji Classrooms, website dashboards, collaborative stations, etc.) and design a Schoology Page that you can apply in your classroom today! Learning Objectives and Mastery Elementary Educators 1 hour This course provides an in-depth look at using Schoology to align materials to standards/learning objectives and track student progress towards those objectives. Schoology provides access to State, Common Core, Next Generation Science, Foreign Language, and College and Career Readiness Standards. Title Audience Duration Description Webinar Recording – Integrating Schoology Schoolwide K-12 Educators, Counselors and Administrators 1 hour This course helps participants leverage Schoology to foster connections with stakeholders, raise awareness around the importance of including educational stakeholders as partners, and become familiar with procedures on how to integrate Schoology schoolwide. Self-Paced Schoology and Advanced E-Learning K-12 Educators 2 hours E-Learning principles and design guidelines of the online classroom. Collaborating, Communicating, and Managing Content K-12 Educators 2 hours This course focuses on using Groups and Resources as tools to address crucial collaboration and communication goals. Participants will take a closer look at the features available for organization and sharing, and develop strategies for both personal and collaborative use. Those enrolled in this course will also learn best practices for resource sharing, and discuss different ways that Groups and Resources can be used within their organization. Using Calculators, Tools, and Math Question Types in Schoology K-12 Educators 1 hour Participants for this course should have a basic knowledge and experience with creating Assessments. Basics of assessment creation will not be covered. Whether you teach Algebra I, American History, or Chemistry, you can still use the Math question types and tools in Schoology Assessments. This course is designed to demonstrate the power of the enhanced Math question types and the available Math Tools for students. Using Google with Schoology K-12 Educators 1 hour In this course, participants will learn how both instructors and students can easily access live Google content from anywhere in the Schoology platform, without having to adjust Google Share settings. We will look at using Google Drive to create assignments and collect student work that results in a paperless, organized workflow. In addition, we will learn how to embed Google Presentations and Forms to enhance your instruction. Using Microsoft with Schoology K-12 Educators 1 hour This course is designed for educators who want to learn more about the multitude of ways to incorporate Microsoft applications into your Schoology courses. Schoology’s integration with Microsoft allows you to create dynamic and robust learning and collaboration experiences for your students. Participants will learn how to leverage the Microsoft OneDrive Resource and Assignment Apps in Schoology to create collaborative, interactive lessons and documents. Designing Online Courses for Young Learners Elementary Educators 2 hours In this course, participants explore innovative ways to engage young learners through designing interactive and dynamic Schoology materials. We will explore the importance of developing an organized course through the use of folders and visual anchors, as well as the importance of utilizing the audio/video recording tool throughout the Schoology platform. Connecting Home and School with Schoology Elementary Educators 1 hour This course is designed to provide participants with an overview of the Schoology platform from a parent user perspective. Learners enrolled in this course will gain a deeper understanding of how parents/guardians navigate around the platform, view student grades, courses, upcoming assignments, discussions and tests/quizzes. Participants will also review communication tools and groups. Breaking Down the Calculations of the Schoology Gradebook Secondary Educators 1 hour This course walks participants through the necessary steps for gradebook setup; as well as grade calculations and how categories, weights, and factors all affect the final student grade. We will also demonstrate the difference between using Total Points or Percentages when creating Grade Categories.
