  • The Calendar of Commemorative Dates and Observances is a tool meant to enhance understanding, respect and awareness among the many religious, ethnic, and cultural identities in our school communities, as a resource for schools to incorporate these dates into their instructional activities, and as a reference in scheduling school activities.  

     

    The Calendar of Commemorative Dates and Observances draws from multiple sources, including the California Department of Education, Los Angeles Unified Board Rule 1102, Board of Education resolutions, and cultural, religious and community calendars.  This calendar is based on information available at the time of production.  Inclusion does not imply official endorsement by LA Unified.  Omissions are not inended to be exclusionary in nature.  sdfgdfg
