    This two-part training, geared toward new school site administrators, will provide an understanding of how schools are funded and the process of school budgeting. In Part One, attendees will be introduced to LAUSD’s financial systems and gain an understanding of resource allocations and the budget process and timeline.  With emphasis on best practices, Part Two will cover budget management.  Topics such as budget monitoring, staffing, and procurement will be on the agenda.

Imprest to P-Card Transition Update

  • To support more efficient, accountable school purchasing, the District is expanding the use of the Procurement

     

    Card (P-Card) by increasing the types of purchases that can be made with the card. Effective July 1, 2025, items

     

    previously restricted on the P-Card, such as food, will be permitted.  All purchases previously made through Imprest

     

    bank accounts will be transitioned to the P-Card, and Imprest accounts will be discontinued as of October 31, 2025.

     

     

     

    To provide schools and offices with the necessary information to facilitate the transition from Imprest bank

     

     accounts to the P-Card, the District has provided the following support:
