Interventions for Reading Success
These sessions will focus on the lessons and resources used in the Interventions for Reading Success book. One of the authors, Michelle Windmueller, will lead the trainings. Participants will receive the book and materials. For further details, please see the flyer.
Phonemic Awareness
Additional phonemic awareness trainings will be offered to support the implementation of the lessons from the Heggerty Phonemic Awareness books. All school sites should have received a set of 9 books through ELLP. If your site needs additional copies, please email Becky Canham at rebecca.canham@lausd.net. Social Emotional Learning
Participants will learn about the needs of children and adults exposed to trauma and explore the resources from Sanford Harmony. Classroom implementation kits will be distributed to participants. For further details, please see the flyer.
Elementary Instructional Leadership Cadre
Each month, LD Central will hold an Elementary Instructional Leadership Cadre meeting for out of classroom support staff. The meetings will provide an opportunity for participants to collaborate and explore best practices. The meetings will focus on both ELA and math. For details, please see flyer.
