Her extensive career includes positions ranging from teacher assistant to teacher, assistant principal, principal, director, principal supervisor, and central office director. In her current role as Executive Director of the Equitable School Performance Office, ESPO, Karen Long leads a team committed to fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making across schools. The ESPO team focuses on ensuring that school plans are developed to specifically address the needs and strengths of vulnerable student populations, from K-12. Additionally, the ESPO team provides critical support to schools that operate under autonomous models, ensuring they have the resources and guidance to promote equity and excellence in education.
