TGI-NBCT Mentor

Teacher Growth and Induction (TGI) is an induction program committed to supporting beginning teachers with a preliminary general education credential approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. This program is a job-embedded system of individualized support. Through a reflective mentoring process, teachers refine their practice and move toward mastery of the California Standards for the Teaching Profession. Completion of the induction program culminates in a recommendation for a California Clear Multiple Subject or Single Subject Credential. This opportunity is afforded to teachers within the first five years of employment, as mandated by the state.
