The Guiding Principles for Dual Language Education guide our work when it comes to developing and supporting our dual language programs. Funded by the Center for Applied Linguistics (CAL), this work synthesizes previous (and ongoing) research on bilingual education and specifically focuses on Dual Language Programs. This work reflects the experience and expertise of a broad range of dual language experts, including practitioners, researchers, administrators, professional development specialists, and others. The principles can be used for planning, self-reflection, and continual improvement.
