  • Schools have noticed that the numbers in a few of the metrics in the School Report Card for 14-15 to 15-16 are different.  Below is the explanation of the differences.

From Performance Management Branch. Office of Data Accountability

The office  will be posting a note on the School Report Card website and updating the PDF versions to show the CDE AMAO 1 rates. Here is a message that we have shared with some other schools that had this concern.

Progress on CELDT: The 2015-16 School Report Card data are not comparable to the 2014-15 School Report Card for this metric. This is essentially because we used an expanded denominator that includes all English learners as of Count Day for all schools, not only English learners with prior CELDT data, for the 2015-16 School Report Cards. We recommend that schools use the CDE’s Title III reports for comparable CELDT data across all schools and prior years. Results for 2015-16 can be found athttp://data1.cde.ca.gov/dataquest/t3/dtl_b.aspx?rt=lea&cds=19647330000000&schyear=2015-16 and results for 2014-15 can be found at http://data1.cde.ca.gov/dataquest/t3/dtl.aspx?rt=lea&cds=19647330000000&schyear=2014-15.

Achieving Early Advanced or Advanced on CELDT: The 2015-16 School Report Card data are not comparable to the 2014-15 School Report Card for this metric.      Proficiency Metrics: The 2015-16 School Report Card data are not comparable to the 2014-15 School Report Card for proficiency metrics. The 2014-15 School Report Card used course marks to show proficiency in English Language Arts and Math, whereas the 2015-16 School Report Card uses SBAC results.
