    Vacation Waiver Request

    Information about the online vacation waiver and the documents required for submission are listed below. Select the vacation waiver request type below and click on the appropriate button.  

    In accordance with District policy and bargaining unit agreements, no employee is permitted to accumulate more vacation hours than that which he/she earns in eighteen months.  Once an employee’s vacation hours balance reaches his/her maximum allowed vacation cap, vacation hours will cease to accrue.

    In order for an employee to be eligible for a vacation waiver, the supervisor and employee must meet the following conditions:

    1. Employee must have filed a vacation schedule/calendar.
    2. Employee must have requested the specified vacation time off with the vacation calendar.
    3. Supervisor must have approved the vacation time off per the employee vacation schedule/calendar (or failed to respond to the vacation request).
    4. Supervisor later prevents or prohibits the employee from taking vacation previously approved.
    5. Employee must be at their cap to request a waiver.

    Employee must login using their own LAUSD Single Sign On to complete and submit their Vacation Waiver Request Form.
    A Vacation Waiver Request form submitted for another employee is invalid and will not be accepted.

    Vacation Waiver Request Due to Leave of Absence

        Employees who are currently on a paid leave of absence and not able to use or charge vacation hours during the leave period may request a waiver for the specified hours during their leave of absence.

    Employee must login using their own LAUSD Single Sign On to complete and submit their Vacation Waiver Request Form.
    A Vacation Waiver Request form submitted for another employee is invalid and will not be accepted.
