What is WASC?

WASC stands for the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and is a group that is responsible for the accreditation of public schools in California.  WASC encourages continuous institutional improvement and assures the the public, that accredited institutions are fulfilling their missions in service to their students and the public good.

Many schools in Local District Central have gone through the WASC process and have earned their accreditation.  The 2019-2020 school year will see even more school visits by the WASC team as we continuously strive to ensure our students are being provided with the tools they will need to achieve their academic goals of college and career.
