    Act of Violance

     

    The Act of Violence (AOV) is an extended industrial leave benefit provided by the District under the specific bargaining agreement that meets the criteria of the Act of Violence. An Act of Violence is defined as a physical injury caused by an intentional physical and violent assault during the performance of the employee’s assigned duties. The injury must be physical to harm.     UTLA - The leave of absence may be extended beyond the initial 60 day period
    UNIT B - Instructional Aide: Injuries involving AOV entitles employees to an extension up to 120 days
    UNIT C - Operations: Injuries involving AOV entitles employees to an extension up to 120 days
    UNIT D - Tech., Prof., & Clerical: Injuries involving AOV entitles employees to an extension up to 60 days
    UNIT E - Skilled Craft: Injuries involving AOV entitles employees to an extension up to 60 days
    UNIT F - Teachers Assistants: No language relating to AOV
    UNIT G - Playground Aides: No language relating to AOV
    UNIT S - Classified Supervisors: Injuries involving AOV entitles employees to an extension up to 120 day
