District Purchased Blended License Distribution Process:1. How does a school request a license? To access the blended learning licenses, the school site must:
- adhere to the “District Wide Process for offering online credit-bearing course” available at http://bit.ly/onlinecourseoverview.
- request student licenses using the online form (http://bit.ly/WestEdgenuityRequest).
2. License Distribution:
- The PRIORITY deadline to submit your request is: Sunday, August 20, 2017
- The number of licenses allocated to your school will be contingent on the number of requests received by the priority deadline. In the event the local district receives more request than licenses are available, the local district will prioritize the number of licenses they distribute based on the grade levels that will be serviced with 12th grade reflecting the highest priority.
- Schools will be notified about the status of their request shortly after the deadline.
- Requests submitted post the priority deadline will be considered if there are remaining licenses available.
3. Enrollment Priority: Each school agrees to use the following criteria to determine enrollment priorities for blended learning licenses:
- Priority #1: students who are not on track to graduate. (ex. Students who have failed a course required for graduation and/or students who have not completed courses required for graduation in prior years). (12th grade takes priority then subsequent grade levels)
- Priority #2: students that have secured credits for a course but are retaking the course for the purpose of improving their grade. (12th grade takes priority then subsequent grade levels)
4. Disclaimer: Please be advised the following process will be enacted if the school exceeds their license allocation:
- Step 1: Warning issued: school is notified that data reports reflect usage beyond what was approved.
- Step 2: Action required: School is notified they have two weeks to either make adjustments to their usage (ie-reduce users) or purchase additional licenses to resolve excess usage.
- Step 3: Suspended Access: School’s access to product is suspended until a resolution (ie-purchase additional licenses, make adjustment to schedule, etc) is accomplished.
