-
EmployeesWhat's New for 2025:
- Open enrollment communications will be sent to your LAUSD email address!
- Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) limit increased to $3,200! To participate, you must enroll during the open enrollment period through the online open enrollment portal.

Have Questions?
- Why don't I see all the healthcare plan options in the open enrollment portal?
-
The benefit plans available to you are based on your eligibility and will be reflected in the open enrollment portal.
- What if I don't make any changes?
-
If you don't make any changes, then your current medical, dental, and vision coverage will continue in 2025! However, FSA enrollment is not automatic; you must enroll during the open enrollment period.
- Do I have to choose a medical/dental provider?
-
If you choose Anthem Blue Cross Select HMO, Health Net HMO, Western Dental DHMO, or DeltaCare USA DHMO, you must select a provider(s), either a specific physician/dentist or group. Contact your plan after December 9th to choose your provider. If you do not select a provider, the plan will automatically assign one to you.
- Where can I get a copy of the 2025 Employee Benefits Information?
-
You can access a digital copy of the 2025 Employee Benefits Information in the Employee Resources section.
We have a limited supply of the physical 2025 Employee Benefits Information brochure. If you need a copy, you can complete the following online request form. Please provide your contact and mailing address. A copy will be mailed to the address indicated on the form. Please allow a minimum of 1 week for processing starting mid-October.
You are also welcome to visit the Benefits Administration located on Beaudry building, 28th floor to pick up a physical copy starting mid-October.
- Why can't I access the open enrollment portal from home?
-
We encourage you to make your plan changes at your worksite. If you must access the open enrollment portal at home or outside the LAUSD network, you must install the District's GlobalProtect Virtual Private Network (VPN) onto your device. For instructions, please click here for VPN instructions.
- What is Medical Opt-Out/Cash-Back plan?
-
This plan is available to certain employees. The Medical Opt-Out/Cash-Back Plan allows you to receive financial compensation in lieu of electing medical plan coverage. This taxable compensation will be paid in installments on your applicable paychecks starting January 2025. For participants continuing Medical Opt-Out/Cash-Back or for those newly enrolled, you must complete a medical attestation form. This attestation form will be emailed to you in December. Completing this attestation will finalize your enrollment into Medical Opt-Out/Cash-Back.
For more information, please visit our Medical Opt-Out/Cash-Back Plan page.
- I have dependents I want to remove. What do I do?
-
If you have dependents you would like to remove for the 2025 year plan, please complete the Dependent Cancellation form.
