Who is Evaluated Using EDSSL?

As part of the LAUSD-AALA Memorandum of Understanding Concerning Educator Development and Support: School Leaders, 2016-2017, assistant principals (Assistant Principals Generic Elementary and Secondary and Assistant Principals Secondary Counseling) are now evaluated using the EDSSL process.

Assistant principals of regular K-12 and Options Schools and principals of regular K-12, Option Schools, and Early Education are evaluated using EDSSL. Other certificated administrator positions (Adult Education Principals, Adult Education Assistant Principals, Assistant Principals EIS, Directors, and other non-school based administrators) will not be evaluated using EDSSL in the upcoming school year, but will continue to be evaluated under the LAUSD-AALA Article VII provisions.
