Give Your Child a Healthy Start: Services at LAUSD Health Screening Fairs

LAUSD families, join us at the Health Screening Fair! Your child can receive several services in one visit. Services may include: Sports Physicals, Vision Care, Dental Screenings & Fluoride, Well-Child Exams, Childhood & Flu Vaccines, and more. The Health Screening Fair is open to all LAUSD students. Some providers may bill insurance. Pre-Registration required at: bit.ly/lausdhealthscreens.

Division of Special Education is hosting a series of Resource Fairs

Join us at the Division of Special Education Family Resource Fair to connect with district teams, community partners, and service providers to learn about resources, supports, and tools to strengthen learning at home and support student success. Each Region will host a Special Education Family Resource Fair in the coming months.

Free Rides Are Back: Metro GoPass Returns for 2026–27

The Metro GoPass program is back! TK-12 students ride Metro buses and trains for free, all year long. If a student already has a GoPass TAP card, the student can keep using it through September 30. To get a new or renewed GoPass:

Request your activation code online with your student's LAUSD account.
Get or keep your TAP card — contact your school's main office if you need one.
Activate at taptogo.net/gopass with your TAP card number and activation code and wait at least one hour before riding.

Be Ready for a Successful School Year: Review the 2026-27 Parent Student Handbook

The 2026-27 Parent Student Handbook is available through the Parent Portal, where families can view, download, and complete the supplemental forms electronically. The handbook is also available on the Division of School Operations website.

We invite all families to review the Handbook together with their child. It includes important information about District policies, student expectations, rights, responsibilities, and resources to help support a successful school year.

Every Household Income Form Counts: Help Your Child’s School Get the Support It Deserves

Help support your child's school by completing the Household Income Form at https://hif.lausd.net. Every eligible HIF helps schools qualify for critical funding that supports students, teachers, programs, and services. Even if you think you may not qualify, we encourage all families to submit a Household Income Form.
