Los Angeles Unified Announces "At the Table with Los Angeles Unified,"
a New Talk Show Hosted by Interim Superintendent Megan K. Reilly

First episode airs tonight at 6 p.m. on KLCS-TV and lausd.net

LOS ANGELES (August 5, 2021) – Los Angeles Unified today announced a new talk show “At the Table with Los Angeles Unified,” hosted by Interim Superintendent Megan K. Reilly. As Los Angeles Unified prepares to welcome students back to school on August 16, the show will provide parents and students with the information necessary about returning to in-person learning. Each 30-minute episode will feature segments with experts discussing questions families have with Interim Superintendent Reilly in a robust roundtable discussion setting. The first episode will air tonight at 6 p.m. on KLCS-TV and stream on lausd.net. It will rebroadcast on KLCS-TV on Sunday, August 8 at 7 a.m. and Friday, August 13 at 6 p.m.

“We have heard from our families and employees,” Interim Superintendent Megan K. Reilly said. “We hope that by bringing these experts to the table, we'll be able to engage in deep conversations that will provide the latest information that everyone needs to know about our return to in-person learning.”

The inaugural episode features conversations Dr. Smita Malhotra, Los Angeles Unified’s Medical Director; Dr. Vladimir Manuel, a family medicine physician and scientist at UCLA’s Clinical and Translational Science Institute; Dr. Adaina Brown, Local District West Superintendent; and Andrés Chait, Local District Northeast Superintendent. A promotional trailer of this episode is available online.
