Summer of Learning Registration Begins as Los Angeles Unified Offers Academic and Enrichment Courses
For Students of All Ages – From TK to 12th Grade

Los Angeles, CA (April 11, 2022) – Los Angeles Unified has opened registration for summer school, which includes in-person instruction, as well as the return of popular online enrichment courses.

To keep students engaged with their school community throughout the summer, Los Angeles Unified has made summer school available for all current students from TK through 12th grade. For the second year, Los Angeles Unified is offering Pre-K summer opportunities for our youngest learners in particular communities throughout the District.

“Los Angeles Unified families, it’s time for a summer of learning,” Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho said. “We are excited to offer a robust summer school program for all students, which includes literacy, math, science and more for TK-8 students and credit-earning opportunities for high school students. We are offering popular classes in animation, arts and crafts, creative writing, music, STEM and STEAM, filmmaking, world languages and more. There’s something for everyone.”

Beyond the Bell enrichment programs begin on June 14, while academic classes begin on June 22. Both programs will be available for students five days a week. Meals will be served, and Los Angeles Unified is also providing counselors, support staff and after-school care to help support students throughout this exciting summer of learning.
