Los Angeles Unified Continues to Make Progress on the Path to Recovery with Positive Second Interim Budget Report
LOS ANGELES (March 8, 2022) – Today, the Los Angeles Unified Board of Education voted to approve the District’s Second Interim Budget Report which will be submitted to the Los Angeles County Office of Education for review before March 15, 2022.
“Los Angeles Unified is committed to increasing academic outcomes and bolstering support and resources for students,” Los Angeles Unified Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho said. “The positive certification of the second interim report is a step in the right direction for Los Angeles Unified as we focus on the work ahead.”
Los Angeles Unified Chief Financial Officer David D. Hart discussed the broad fiscal analysis that will be conducted as outlined in Superintendent Carvalho’s 100-Day Plan.
“There are several unprecedented circumstances facing Los Angeles Unified, and as a result, numbers are subject to change over the next few months,” Hart said. “We look forward to carrying out the fiscal analysis in the 100-Day Plan to refine the efficacy of District funds.”
