L.A. Unified Superintendent Beutner and Board President García Call for the Elimination of Parent Fingerprinting Fees to Help Support Families Participating in Schools (9-12-18)

LOS ANGELES (Sept. 12, 2018) – Partnering with California Attorney General Xavier Becerra and State Superintendent Tom Torlakson, L.A. Unified Superintendent Austin Beutner and Board President Mónica García are calling for the elimination of parent fingerprinting fees to help support families who wish to participate in their children’s schools.

 Superintendent Beutner and Board President García sent a letter to the State Attorney General and State Superintendent asking for their help in changing the current fees required by the California Department of Justice.
