Secondary Integrated English Language Development (iELD) Banked Time Module

Course Description: 

This 45 - 60 minute provides an introduction to integrated English Language Development instruction in the secondary classroom across all disciplines. Embedded in the module is a classroom video that demonstrates iELD instruction in a grade 7 science class and a post-lesson interview with the teacher. These brief video clips provide a sampling of what iELD instruction looks and sounds like in the classroom. Discussion activities are built into the module to provide faculty opportunities to work together to understand the pedagogical concepts.
